Homecoming Through Our Eyes: Norfolk State 2026

Everyone at homecoming stands in the same place. No two people see it the same way.

For Norfolk State Homecoming 2026 I handed four Fujifilm QuickSnap cameras to four people and asked them to shoot their own weekend. There was no shot list and no rules. Nobody could check a screen. Then the cameras came back to me.

Why film

Homecoming gets documented instantly now. We shoot it, check it, retake it and post it. A disposable camera allows none of that. With a limited number of frames every shot is a decision.

What's next

The film was developed at Photodom NYC, a Black-owned lab in New York. The full rolls will be shared here with a story from each person, and a selection will go into DREAMERS Vol. 2. North Carolina A&T is next.
